Former Phoenix talker Bob Mohan seeks kidney

For longtime Valley talk listeners, the name of Bob Mohan is prominent. He spent 16 years at NewsTalk 550 KFYI-AM and after leaving in 2002, went on to middays on KFNX 1100-AM. Today, he finds himself on dialysis and on the list of many for a donor organ, The Arizona Republic reports.

Mohan has found himself dealing with polycystic kidney disease, a genetic disorder. The search for a kidney doesn’t stop at the donor organ list. Mohan is making an effort to successfully find somebody with Type O blood who could donate a kidney.

Lou Dobbs to broadcast from KFNX studio

News Talk Radio KFNX 1100 is announcing today via Twitter that in Lou Dobbs’ Phoenix visit, he will be broadcasting his show from the KFNX studio. Dobbs’ topic on the plate will be Arizona’s new immigration law, where he will be speaking with guests of many different viewpoints.

Charles Goyette plugs new book nationally

Former Valley talker Charles Goyette appeared last night as a guest on nationally syndicated radio show, Coast to Coast AM with George Noory.

Goyette, who has been a talk show host on such stations as KFYI, KTAR, KXXT, and most recent, KFNX, spoke about his views on a looming financial crisis yet to come for America and viable investments to deal with it– topics all of which are included in his new book, The Dollar Meltdown.

Since the guest appearance, The Dollar Meltdown spent its first day in Amazon.com’s top 100 Bestsellers at 18th place.

Goyette is now set to hold a discussion and book signing in Scottsdale Thursday. It begins at 7pm at the Barnes & Noble on 90th St. south of Shea.
