This year’s VA Veterans Day Parade in Phoenix will include longtime Valley morning radio host, Dave Pratt, as Celebrity Grand Marshal. The parade is set to begin at 11am from Carl T. Hayden VA Medical Center on Wednesday November 11.
Pratt, who has been on the radio in Phoenix for nearly thirty years (KUPD, KZON, KMLE), was let go from CBS Radio/KMLE in late 2008 due to budget cuts. His support and dedication for the Phoenix community continues on. You can catch him at the upcoming parade.

I’ve never “gotten into” Dave Pratt on the radio–perhaps because he’s always been on a format I don’t/didn’t listen to (hard rock on KUPD, whatever it was on KZON, country on KMLE). So if he has given a lot of support to local veterans, I’d be unaware of it.
With that said, if there is one current or recent Phoenix market radio personality who should be Celeb Grand Marshal of this year’s parade (based on his past support for vets), that person is Camelback Jack, late of KOOL-FM.
