J.D. Hayworth leaves KFYI

Posted on 22 January 2010 by PhoenixAirchecks.com

The “call to public service remains,” and so former Representative turned talk show host, J.D. Hayworth, says goodbye to his listeners today on Clear Channel’s news/talk 550 KFYI.

The brand-new programming schedule is not yet released. There is speculation on whether Mike Broomhead will get J.D.’s afternoon shift, or if the Nearly Famous Barry Young gets the earlier shift.

Hayworth is scheduled to appear on Darrell Ankarlo’s show at 10am on News/Talk 92.3 KTAR.

Barry, the little squirt with a big ego, will keep the slot adjacent to Rush. He and his side-kick parrot are regularly hospitalized with McCain-induced anal-poisoning and know that a different time slot would be a death blow to his show’s ratings (because of non-adjacent time slot to Rush and introduction of competition from other stations).
