KMLE’s Gwen Foster (middays) and Jeff West (afternoons) are no longer a part of Camel Country, leaving the Tim and Willy morning show as the only local talent. Jeff West had taken the afternoon slot after KMLE fired 20-year station veteran Big Shoe Stu in December 2008. The reason given for all of the above are the same: “budget cuts.”

As a result of your recent changes, I am now listening to KNIX. I came over to you because of Tim and Willie, and now I am leaving you because of them. They are not worth whatever you are paying them.

Come on, you guys. We aren’t androids out here. We want warm bodies (and voices) on our radio programs, not crumbbed up canned crap that everyone has to put up with now. I’m sure after you ruin all of the free radio & most folks stop listening you will come up with an innovation for the newbies out there… hey, how about a format where people actually talk over a mic & interact with the audience? We’ll call it RADIO… No matter what you cut the budget for, new boats, bigger houses, better “vacant buildings with better soundboards”, we want our Humans back.

KMLE has destroyed their lineup. Jeff West was a friend of mine I looked forward to nothing more than saying hi to westy at KMLE events. We had the kmle booth up at our location,, unfriendly not warm people I want Jeff West and the real KMLE back not the broadcast across the nation 1800 number crap sad, sad, sad, never thought kmle would sell out like that its just a shame. I miss my KMLE. How can you get rid of BIG SHOE STU also Dont know what people were thinking.

Looks like even Tim and Willy have felt the pinch. Not as much time on the air either. I have followed T&W since they were at KMLE in the beginning of their time in the valley. I quit listening to country when they went to Chicago. Started listening again when they came back to the valley and followed them from KNIX back to KMLE.
They got the short end at KNIX (replaced by Matt and Ben – yikes) Hope T& W are here for a long, long time. They are THE BEST Country TEAM anywhere. They are worth every penny they are paid. Pro Valley, pro kids and all round nice guys. I have met several times at events and have sat in at KMLE when I won a contest. Superb, hilarious and deserve to be here!
